Albert, with more than forty years of experience, focuses his practice in the areas of real estate conveyancing, complex title issues, litigation, estate planning/probate and trust administration, land use/permitting, and corporate/business. Albert represents his clients before municipal and state regulatory and administrative agencies, as well as all courts in the Commonwealth.

Well-versed in the local real estate landscape, Albert represents institutional lenders, buyers and sellers in residential and commercial real property transactions.

In the area of litigation, Albert specializes in real property issues such as boundary disputes, adverse possession, and various title issues. Albert represented the plaintiff in the often-cited Massachusetts Appeals Court case of Macallister v. DeStefano on the issue of adverse possession under color of title.

On the estate planning/probate and trust administration side of his practice, Albert works with his clients to create highly personalized estate plans. He has acted as a conservator, guardian, trustee of a special needs trust and as the executor (now personal representative) of many estates.

Albert received his B.S. (Economics) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1971, J.D. from New England School of Law in 1976, and L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University in 1986. He is a former Vice Chairman of the Town of Barnstable Conservation Commission and is a longtime member of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), Real Estate Bar Association (REBA), American Land and Title Association (ALTA), and Barnstable County Bar Association (BCBA).
